After several buildings are inexplicably blown up, Control follows the trail to an art gallery where a former chemist, debonair Rex Savage, has teamed up with painter Mondo to produce a series of explosive paintings. 99 disguises as an art expert with Max as her driver/butler as they try to get Savage's fingerprints and photograph, something that turns out to be a little more complicated than expected.

CONTROL tries to find the location of a KAOS communications center, which turns out to be in a pool hall.

KAOS is interested in capturing Dr. Shotwire, a brilliant scientist whose work has been set 6 months back thanks to his bodyguard's helping hands (no other than 86). The KAOS agent in charge of the kidnapping, Natz, also has a vendetta with Max who sent him to prison in the past. Natz's plan involves the latest creation of rogue Dr. Ratton: Hymie (yeah Hymie, his father's name was Hymie) a humanoid robot who enters Control as a newbie agent. However no one knows what to expect when Hymie has a drink and gets some quality time with Max. Meanwhile 44 is hiding in a clock, not able to show his new suit at the party Shotwire is attending.

Max poses as an insane colonel in order to prove that a KAOS psychiatrist is revealing confidential information.

I'm Only Human
Max convinces the Chief of taking Fang out of retirement after some Control agents are killed by their own dogs. Each of those agents had left their pets at an animal spa while they were travelling. What they ignored was that the animals were being brainwashed before being returned to their owners. When Fang goes MIA Max disobeys orders and goes after him (after all everything in the room reminds him of Fang, specially its dear rubber duck) which causes the Chief to go rescue Max (after all, everything in the room reminds him of Max, specially its dear -and loaded- rubber duck).

Season 1, Episode 24 – Aired: 3/5/1966
Stakeout on Blue Mist Mountain
A horde of KAOS agents are taking flights to Washington. Each one carries a piece of a bomb which is meant to explode near an American base. With the help of 44 (disguised as a piece of luggage) Max and the Chief capture one of KAOS's agents and fool-force confidential information out of him. They end up in Blue Mist Mountain and it's up to 86 to dismantle the bomb before it goes off. All the help he has is Parker on the shoe-phone, a coin, and a very expensive tie.

The Amazing Harry Hoo
The Claw (Claw not Claw) is back, and planning to lead Max into his deadly trap. His scheme leads Max and 99 to San Francisco as they follow a Chinese agent (Number 3) in the hopes that this will lead them to Number One (Claw), the mastermind behind a smuggling operation that uses a laundromat as facade (though the real money is actually in the laundry). However Max gets help from Harry Who, a chinese police inspector with a keen eye for detail and two possibilities to explain anything.

Hubert's Unfinished Symphony
Max and the Chief disguise themselves as concert critics as they go in the aid of Hubert, a violin virtuoso who has been working undercover to find the identity of KAOS's Big Boss (at least in the cultural branch). Just before Hubert is able to give his report (Max is late because the chief's head gets locked inside the "portable cone of silence") he is killed but first hides a clue in the form of written music. Max must then stop pianist Wolenska from being killed by a bomb planted in the piano on which he will perform Hubert's last symphony, a desperate attempt of the Big Boss to keep his identity secret.

Ship of Spies (1)
Ahoy mate! Max's new assignment has him in a boat where he must find the blueprints of a super weapon while watching his back from a mysterious killer who makes a peculiar clip-clop sound, which is not that much help as every single passenger and crew member make that sound. 44 is on board (disguised as a monkey) and so is 99. When Max goes up on deck in the middle of the night, shots are fired and Max ends up falling off the boat. TO BE CONTINUED...

Ship of Spies (2)
99's quick and clever reactions help Max from drowning (OK, she just saves him). Back on the ship, Max talks with the captain who offers his assistance after finding out the reason he can never understand his aide ("Chinese! He's Chinese!"). To make matters worse, 44 has finally had it. Not only Max cracks his super secret message, but he's tired of working hidden, not being able to eat at the captain's table, it's a boring job... As if it wasn't bad enough, he gets shot and Max finally discovers who the killer is, though it may be too late for him.

A swimmer on the Russian national team calls Max for help, but unfortunately he forgets her name.

Season 2, Episode 1 – Aired: 9/17/1966
Anatomy of a Lover
KAOS reprograms Hymie to murder the Chief. After Max foils the attempt, and unable to go through dismantling him, he hides Hymie in his apartment. Posing as Max's cousin, Hymie meets the Chief's daughter who immediately becomes smitten with the robot. KAOS again reprograms Hymie, and this time, he's out to kill Max!

Max has to impersonate a safe cracker named Jimmy Ballantine. He has his face wrapped in bandages so KAOS won't recognize him. 99 poses as a manicurist & agent 13 is in the towel steamer. Control believes the barber shop is a KAOS front. The KAOS agents want Max to open the vault of a federal reserve bank. 99 doesn't know which one,so the Chief has all the banks vaults left unlocked. Max opens the vault, KAOS guys are removing the money & plan to kill Max,when he gets the drop on them & their plan backfires. 99 & the Chief arrive & Max accidentally locks the Chief in the vault.

Max learns that the pet shop is a cover for Melnick, the Smiling Killer. While trying to capture the renegade parrot Max, 99, and Fang are captured. They learn that the parrots are being used to memorize secret information and then smuggled out of the country.

While carrying plans for a nuclear reactor, Max runs into KAOS Agents, so he must hide the plans. Max later has to pretend to be a convict and go to jail to get them back.

Max and 99 travel to San Saludas after being contacted by the daughter of the President of San Saludas who is being held prisoner by General Pajarito. Max and 99 meet their contact who tells them that the President is in the dungeon. When Max and 99 impersonate two flamenco dancers, the General realises they are imposters and puts them in the dungeon too. Max buys their escape causing the firing squad to only use blanks. Up against the wall, Max tricks the soldiers to fire on the General and they make a break for it. The soldiers catch up and tell them that General Pajarito is dead and that Don Carlos can be President again.

The Mild Ones
Max and 99 have to infiltrate a motorcycle gang called the "Purple Knights" because Control believes that they kidnapped the Prime Minister of a foreign country while Max was guarding him. Max called himself 'Wheels' and 99 was 'Legs'. To join the gang Max has to pass an initiation test (jousting on motorcycles). 99 conveniently blinded 'Brute' with her compact so that Max could knock him off his bike. Later at the bikers 'pad' Max is dancing with 'Dollbaby' and learns that the P.M. is in the back room. When the gang are asleep, Max and 99 creep into the room to rescue the P.M. but 'Brute' catches them in the act. Max is chained by the arms and legs to four M/bikes all heading off in different directions. Max tells 'Brute' that at this very moment, this whole area is swarming with 100 highway patrolmen with Dobermans. The flag drops, the bikes roar away, but Max is still in one piece! 'Dollbaby' filed through the chain links. Max and 99 go after 'Brute' and 'Kool'. They set a trap and catch them. Later, Max tells the Chief that 'Dollbaby' should get the credit for helping him rescue the P.M.

Now it is up to Max and 99 to save the day but of course they first have to make sure that the sound of their own heart's doesn't kill them.

Max receives a visit from his Army buddy Sid Krimm.Before he arrives however,a woman defecter from Kaos shows up to give Max a little Black Book that contains the names of various Kaos Agents.The woman is shot,and Max has to hide her when his friend Sid shows up.Hiding the woman will soon be the least of Max's worries.

In this take-off of The Fugitive series Max is framed by Kaos.He is charged with Bank Robbery,and Murder.This comes about when a one-handed Man(in a Maxwell Smart facemask)shoots the Bank Guard,in front of witnesses who could identify him.Further evidence surfaces when the Bank Money is found in Max's Apartment planted there by Kaos.A Control Lawyer is hired,and loses the case.Max is then sentenced to death While he is being transfered,Max see's the One-handed Man,he tries to tell the cop escorting him ,but he would'nt listen.So Max breaks away,escapes,and goes in search of the One-Handed Man.Will Max succeed,and clear his name?

99 Loses CONTROL
Feeling that she has no future at Control, and no future with Max, 99 decides to leave, and accept the marriage proposal with handsome, wealthy Victor Royale. Max, feeling jealous, goes to pursue 99.Having saved Royale from an assassination attempt, Royale offers Max a job as his bodyguard. Max contemplates accepting the job. Soon, he and 99 are introduced, but neither one gives the other away.As a matter of fact 99 doesn't tell Royale that she use to be a Spy; which at the time is wise, because Royale is currently a spy... for Kaos.

The Wax Max
Max,and 99 enjoy their day off at an amusement park.Little do they realize that the Amusement Park is actually a Kaos drop-off place for secret messages.

Operation Ridiculous
Max & 99 are called into the Chief's office. He tells them 'Weeknews' magazine is doing a story on Control. Mr Fitzmaurice wants to accompany two Control agents on a case for his story.The Chief selects Max & 99. Miss Magruda,Fitzmaurice's assistant is actually a KAOS agent trying to make a fool out of Max so Weeknews will write a bad article about Control. Max thinks Fitzmaurice is the KAOS agent when things start to go wrong.99 realises it's Miss Magruda & they solve the case. Mr Fitzmaurice was going to write a good article about Control until Max accidentaly uses a blowdart on him.

Max has to protect CONTROL from KAOS to save the day.

Each time Smart picks a best man for his upcoming wedding to Agent 99, the man meets with a mysterious accident. The Chief deducts that there must be a link between all of the accidents and KAOS because all of Max's prospects are fellow agents. Max comes home from work one evening to find 99 in bed,with a back eye.99 explains it away as nothing.When he inquires about 99's visit to her Mother,99 says that she did'nt feel much like visiting her.This makes Max suspicious,and before he inquires about anything else,the telephone rings.It is the Chief who informs Max that the woman in his Apartment is not 99.This is true since the real 99 is in the Chiefs Office.The Chief lets 99 talk to Max on the telephone,and this confirms to Max that it is the real 99.The Chief will explain everything to Max in the Morning,but that Max should at the present time should pretend that the woman imposter is 99.99 herself explains to the Chief what had happened that morning.While some furnisher men were moving furniture into her,and Max's apartment,the imposter 99 pulls a gun on her.She then instructed 99 to accompany the moving men(who are Kaos agents)back to their secret place.In response 99 punched the imposter,thus giving her the black eye.She was takened anyway.She managed to escape,and went straight to the Chief's Office.The Chief wants 99 to return to the secret place where Kaos had imprisoned her'So that they can learn what Kaos is planning,99 agrees.
